How about adding an element of heat to your massage session that doesn’t require a hot towel cubby or a roaster oven? Our 9CE approved course on August 4th, 2019 is just the ticket.

Bamboossage is a technique that incorporates bamboo stalks of various lengths and diameters to provide deep-tissue work. The wooden sticks are heated and the massage promotes circulation, sensory nerve perception, and lymphatic drainage and provides a deep sense of relaxation and well-being. Pressure is applied using the bamboo sticks to penetrate deep into the tissues, so trigger point activation can be accomplished quite easily. Of course, in tradition with all the other courses I offer – this modality will give your hands and wrists a rest! The bamboo is easy to heat and clean, all you have to do is wrap them in a heating pad!

What you’ll need to bring to class: one set of sheets for the table, including a face cradle cover.
